self portrait on cardboard, acrylics.
spent a lot more time on the face than anything else lol, can you tell? i still like it, it's the only self portrait i've done that i like, haha. i wanted to experiment, try to make it look more expressive, not so smooth (which i tend to do...all the time). mmhm. also this was for a small assignment for my art class. we had to choose one of the following options: 1) self portrait using unusual/interesting media 2) self portrait from an unusual angle 3) a series of 3 self portraits in our sketchbooks, each showing a different mood. i'm not quite sure which category this painting fits into, haha. ohwell, i still got a good grade : D |

ah, yeah, the shirt/shoulder was like the last part i did.. couldn't really get it right. ah welll.

watch out for the white of your eye, it's distracting. should be more "dirty", more blue in it, like for the shirt.
but well, just a tiny detail. it's a nice work anyways
